2. What data we collect

3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

4. How long we keep it

Data from requests that do not lead to a rental is kept for 24 months. Data relating to rentals actually concluded is kept for as long as required by contractual, tax and insurance obligations. Data processed on the basis of consent is kept until that consent is withdrawn

5. Who it may be shared with

Your data is neither disclosed publicly nor sold. It may be processed by suppliers acting as data processors: the website hosting provider, the email service provider, our accountant and, where applicable, the insurance company. If you write on WhatsApp, the conversation takes place on the platform of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., subject to its own privacy notice

No cookie is installed before you make an explicit choice. The typefaces are hosted directly on this website: displaying them involves no transfer of data to third-party services

a) Technical tools · no consent required

To remember, during your visit, which advertising material brought you here — including, if you come from an ad on ChatGPT, the click reference that the ad adds to the address — we use a technical browser store (sessionStorage), which is cleared when you close the tab and is not sent to anyone without your consent. A second technical store (localStorage, entry vr_consenso) keeps your choice on the cookie banner for 6 months, so that we do not ask you again at every visit. Both are necessary for the service to work and require no consent

b) Statistical cookies · only with your consent

If you consent through the banner, we activate Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and understand which advertising material brings traffic. Until you consent, Analytics is not loaded and no data is sent to Google. You may refuse, and the site works exactly the same

Cookie Purpose Duration
_ga Distinguishes visitors 13 months
_ga_<ID> Keeps the session state 13 months

Google Analytics 4 does not record your full IP address: the IP is truncated before storage and cannot be used to identify you. Sharing Analytics data with Google for advertising purposes remains disabled

c) Advertising cookies · only with your consent

The «Advertising» category activates two tools, described below: the Meta pixel and the OpenAI pixel. There is a single consent covering both; if you refuse, neither is loaded

If you consent to the «Advertising» category, we activate the Meta pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. It does two things: it measures which of our Facebook and Instagram ads bring enquiries, and it lets us show those ads again to people who have already visited the site. Until you consent, the pixel is not loaded and no request is sent to Meta. You may refuse, and the site works exactly the same

When the pixel is active we tell Meta that a page was viewed and that the enquiry form was submitted. We do not transmit the contents of the form: not your name, email, phone number, nor the dates you give us

Cookie Purpose Duration
_fbp Distinguishes browsers for advertising purposes 3 months
_fbc Stores the identifier of the ad you arrived from 3 months

For the collection and transmission of this data we are joint controllers together with Meta: we decide to install the pixel, Meta decides how the data is used once received. Meta’s subsequent processing for its own purposes is governed by Meta’s privacy policy, over which we have no control. Data may be transferred to the United States: Meta states that it relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses

Besides our banner, you can limit personalised advertising from the ad preferences of your Meta account

With the same consent we activate the OpenAI measurement pixel, provided by OpenAI Ireland Limited. It is used for one thing only: to measure how many rental enquiries come from our ads on ChatGPT. We do not use it to show you ads again. Until you consent, the pixel is not loaded and no request is sent to OpenAI

If you come from one of our ads on ChatGPT, the page address contains a click reference (oppref) which the pixel keeps in a cookie. When the pixel is active, besides the technical signals it sends on loading to check that it works, we tell OpenAI, as the only event, that the enquiry form was submitted, together with that reference, the page address and the technical browser data needed to send it. The dates, the car, the location and the notes you write to us are not transmitted

Automatic data matching. The OpenAI pixel includes a feature, enabled by the provider and which we cannot switch off, that detects the first name, last name, email address and phone number you enter in the forms on this site. It turns them in your browser into an irreversible encrypted code (a SHA-256 hash) before they leave your device, and sends them to OpenAI together with the measurement events. OpenAI does not receive this data in clear text: it uses it to recognise whether the enquiry comes from someone who saw or clicked one of our ads on ChatGPT. This happens only if you have consented to the «Advertising» category. If you refuse, the pixel is not loaded and no form data, not even encrypted, reaches OpenAI

Cookie Purpose Duration
__oppref Keeps the reference to the ChatGPT ad you came from 30 days
__obref Recognises the browser to link the enquiry to the visit and measure the ads 12 months
__oaiq_consent Written only if you withdraw consent: tells the pixel not to resume measurement. If you later consent again, it is updated 30 days

OpenAI processes this data on our behalf, to measure our campaigns, and for its own purposes as an independent controller. OpenAI’s processing for its own purposes is governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy for Europe, over which we have no control. Data may be transferred to the United States, on the basis of a valid transfer mechanism under Chapter V of the GDPR

You can change your mind at any time, without giving a reason, from the «Cookie preferences» link in the footer of every page, or here: change or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand

7. Transfers outside the European Union

If you consent to statistical cookies, Google Analytics may involve a transfer of data to the United States. Google LLC adheres to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, the adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission on 10 July 2023, which constitutes the legal basis for the transfer; in addition, Google applies the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission

Likewise, if you consent to advertising cookies, the Meta pixel may involve a transfer of data to the United States. The controller for the European area is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, which states that it relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission

Likewise, if you consent to advertising cookies, the OpenAI pixel may involve a transfer of data to the United States. The controller for the European area is OpenAI Ireland Limited, which states that it relies on a valid transfer mechanism under Chapter V of the GDPR

Other suppliers may also process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case the transfer takes place on the basis of an adequacy decision, the Standard Contractual Clauses, or another appropriate safeguard provided for under Chapter V of the GDPR

8. Your rights

At any time you may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and you may object to processing. You may withdraw consent where it has been given. Write to info@ventirent.com

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it)

9. Whether providing data is mandatory

Providing the data marked as mandatory in the form is necessary for us to reply to you: without it we cannot prepare a quote. Providing data for marketing purposes is optional
